Thanksgiving is a great time to come to the beach anyway but the weekend following Turkey Day is going to be a real blast as Ocean Isle Beach celebrates the upcoming Christmas season in a big way!
It all starts on Friday, November 26th with HoliDAY at The Museum of Coastal Carolina:
HoliDAY at the Museum is an all day celebration (10am -5pm) of the holidays for the whole family.
Come in to enjoy Festival of Trees viewing and voting, wreaths and wall decor for sale, photo ops with Santa Jaws, children’s activities, and a gift bag for every child; all free with museum admission.
At 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm Terri Frazee will be sharing Holiday Stories and Carols in our Barrier Island Gallery.
Then on Saturday November 27th things really start cookin’ with the Christmas Parade at 2:00pm. Residents and businesses decorate their golf carts and other vehicles for the annual Christmas Parade which starts on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (lineup at 1:30).
Then comes Letters to Santa in the Town Center Park from 5-8pm.
Then on Saturday evening- the finale — a Christmas Boat Flotilla and wrapping up with a big party at Sharky’s ending the super day that evening.
As always, the best is saved for last as everyone heads over to Sharky’s Waterfront Restaurant to watch the 18th Annual Christmas Flotilla and Party to benefit Brunswick Family Assistance.
Sharky’s will hosting a big shindig and local bands will kick off an evening of music, dancing, and fun after the awards.
Make it a weekend out of these events! The street parade is a lot of fun for the whole family and the Flotilla Party at Sharky’s Waterfront Restaurant is a ball, all for a great cause!
