The Museum of Coastal Carolina in Ocean Isle Beach is celebrating its 30th anniversary!
On May 19th at 6:00 PM, the museum will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a program about the museum – how it came to be, stories behind some of the museum’s oldest exhibits, and excerpts from the First Ladies of OIB video in which they tell their stories about the early days of Ocean Isle Beach. Cupcakes will be available for visitors to enjoy.
At this time the museum is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, however, the museum’s summer season begins on May 19.
The museum will be open Monday through Saturday. Bring your family to the museum this summer for some fun and educational programs and lectures. Many programs are interactive and include crafts for kids.
This summer is deemed the Year of the Dinosaurs; the museum will feature a movie called Dinosaurs of Antarctica and a new daily Science in 3D program called Before the Dinosaurs: Coal Age Monsters. The museum’s gift shop will have some wonderful dinosaur-themed gift items for sale.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street in Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
