Celebrate the Halloween season coastal style with a month of creepy coastal activities at the Museum of Coastal Carolina. Throughout October, families are invited to learn about the species humans consider “creepy” and “crawly”, with galleries spotlighting sharks, bats, alligators, jellyfish, and more.
The Museum’s Creepy Coastal Gallery Crawl is a month-long celebration every Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each gallery will feature themed activities and learning stations for guests to explore at their own pace.
The Creepy Coastal Gallery Crawl kicks off Oct. 8 with the launch of a new video in the Legacy of the Loggerhead exhibit, followed by a Sandbar Lecture Series on Sea Turtle DNA at 5:30 p.m. The celebration wraps up on Oct 31st with Deep Sea Games in the Museum’s lecture hall.
In addition to daily activities for the Creepy Coastal Gallery Crawl, the Museum will feature weekly themed family programs.
Sea Tales – Thursdays at 11 a.m.
Each week we will read a story representing one of the animals or exhibits at the museum and complete an interactive craft or science activity based on the story.

Investigating Invertebrates: Crustaceans – Saturdays at 11 a.m.
Each month, we will investigate the characteristics of crustaceans and explore a different category of crustaceans through hands-on activities with fun facts about a specific crustacean each week. This month we will be investigating isopods.
