Local Brewery 34° North Experiment Station Open

34° North Experiment Station

Red Hare Brewing Company, a Georgia-based brewery, has announced that its second location will soon open in Brunswick County.

34° North Experiment Station is located on the same line of latitude as its original brewery in Marietta, Georgia.

The new brewery will bring “small batches of funky experimental beers, inspired by the wild yeast and bacteria coming off the coastal winds.”

Occupying a building that’s over 120 years old, 34° North Experiment Station will be Brunswick County’s third brewery. Makai Brewing Company in Ocean Isle Beach opened last year and Check Six Brewing Company in Southport opened in 2015.

34° North Experiment Station will host a grand opening party on Sat., April 21 at 2 p.m. They are located at 4802 Main St. in Shallotte, NC.
