As the number of Covid-19 cases in the area levels off, a few of the restrictions regarding the beachfront are being lifted. The Town of Ocean Isle Beach has re-opened public beach accesses and the ocean strand. However, the activities allowed in these areas are restricted to walking, jogging, bicycling, or exercise activities.
Social distancing policies are still in effect, requiring a minimum of 6 feet distance between beachgoers. Gathering or sitting on the beachfront is still prohibited. Also, all public parking will remain closed.
