K-Pop added to Laser Show Schedule this Winter
Big Bird and two of his Sesame Street friends will make their way onto the Ingram Planetarium dome for the Film One World, One Sky this winter while the nighttime laser show schedule features an original production of Laser K-Pop.
In addition to Big Bird, One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure features Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu who lives far away in China, but the three friends discover that they still see the same stars at night! The word for star in Chinese is “xīng xing” (pronounced sing sing). How many “xīng xing” do you see in this sky? This short film, especially for preschoolers, is followed by a star show especially for them. It is sponsored by a grant from the town of Sunset Beach.
Laser K-Pop blends diverse styles of hip-hop, R&B, pop and electronic music into the highly polished productions of Korean Pop that have become a cultural phenomenon worldwide. Ingram Planetarium combines those catchy hooks and beats with stunning laser visuals in its newest production. Hits by Twice, aespa and others from the Netflix hit show, “K-pop Demon Hunters” come together for a show you won’t want to miss.
With educational films that inspire curiosity and spectacular laser music shows that will create out-of-this-world memories, Ingram Planetarium has something for visitors of all ages. Here’s a look at the Planetarium’s schedule Jan. 15 through Feb. 28.
