Ocean Isle Children’s Day Camp

This summer, The town of Ocean Isle Beach is once again sponsoring a day camp for children. The “camp” is held at the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center every weekday from 10:00am until 12:00pmPM. The Community Center is located wthin a short walk up the beach from the The Winds Resort Beach Club.
Activities vary from day to day with Sea Turtle Day on Mondays followed by Tropical Tuesdays, Wacky Wednesday with beach games and other activities; Thursday it’s Pirate Day and on Fridays its Boat & Water Safety Day.
The programs are free with a maximun enrollment of 35 children per day. Children between the ages of 3 to 10 are welcome and parents are asked to accompany their children. It’s a great time for family fun and togetherness.
The program is available from June through August 21, 2009. Registration begins daily at 9:30 AM. Bring your children and join the fun!

Turtle Day Mondays Discover our sea turtles. Play games, dance, and do turtle crafts with the Ocean Isle Beach Turtle Patrol. Meet Miss Gloria, the OIB Turtle Lady. |

Tropical Tuesdays There are mermaids, seahorses, and tropical life to greet you. Do art projects, dance the limbo, and have storytime with “Gigi” the grandmother of the mermaids. |

Wacky Wednesdays Be prepared to have wacky water fun on the beach with lots of active games and projects. Learn about different types of NC seashells. Meet a real surfer.

Pirates & Buried Treasure Thursdays Ahoy, mateys! Join us for a treasure hunt, and be a pirate for a day. Meet an OIB pirate. There are plenty of arts and crafts, too. Arrrrrggggghhhh! |

Sail – A – Way Sail-A-Way with the Power Squadron. Join us to learn about boating safety and the importance of wearing a life preserver.

Registration for activities will be held daily Monday – Friday at 10:00 a.m. and ending promptly at 10:20 a.m. to allow activities to begin.
Activity Participant Forms must be completed for all participants.

We visited the Park in June and it was awesome! Our kids really enjoyed it and it was a nice little break from being down at the beach. It is a perfect addition to a wonderful vacation getaway. Thanks for adding it!
